A Beautiful Confusion

Almost everynight I hear a whisper, too low but too deep. This mysterious whisper I have no idea from where, reminds me of my duties, suggests me with ideas, shows the result at times.

One night It called me to come out and see the light. To my surprise, I found a big balloon surrounding our garden and house. I called my mom and dad, “maa…appaaa..Look at this! Something is happening.” My dad called his friend who was a SI and my mom called the neighbour. The former’s call was not answered and the latter was surprised to hear the same situation happening at the other end.

We were afraid to go near the light balloon. Suddenly my brother rang and told that we were invaded by some Aliens and they are blasting the balloons after some inspection. We were shocked to death hearing this from him who is a scientist. My mom started praying for my brother who is at the forefront battle field (which clearly proved that she loves him more than me!) and my dad called near and dear ones. I was imagining all possible ways of death with my eyes wide open, seeing the balloon.

3 long hours passed and the balloon slowly vanished and we heard some great noise. A greatly vast ship was floating ahead our home, waiting to suck us in. Far away from distance there was report on the death rates being announced. I was ready for my expedition at the other planet. I took my teddy for moral support. My mom tried to pull it off and I was fighting for it. She grew angry and shouted ‘ Its too late for class, open your eyes and laptop.

I came to reality, the whisper, the balloon, the alien craft had gone. All I heard was the death rate due to Omicron cases in news. After my online classes, I discussed everything with my dad, who told that those whispers were manipulation of my thoughts.

Are they really? Those were the fear the world gave me. But then it was so beautiful to have such confusions for it kindles the conscience.
